Conversation Tags

Tags are a feature for both accounts and cafés that allows you to categorize conversations. Users are able to set up to 20 tags on their account, and cafés are able to have up to 20 tags as well. This feature does not require Pro membership!

Creation and Modification

The settings for conversation tags is the same for both accounts and café, however, the location is slightly different for them. To reach tags for posts on your account profile, go to your Account Settings and click Tags. To reach the tags for café, go to the Café Settings and click Tags.

On the tags page, you'll see a list of tags if you have already created some. Click "New Tag" to open a popup with an input box and a list of emote categories. Enter the name of the tag you wish to create and select an emote to associate with it. After you are done, click the "Create" button at the bottom of the window to create your new tag! Your new tag will then be added to the list of tags.

For each tag in the list, there are options to change the tag's name, change tag's emote, and delete the tag. If the tag is part of a café, an extra option will show titled "Staff only". Setting this to true means that only café staff are able to add the tag to a conversation. Setting this to false allows any café member to tag their own post.

How to Use

To add a tag to a post, first create your conversation then either post it or save it as a draft:

  • If posted: Click the "Options" button on the upper right corner of the conversation. The tags will be listed at the bottom of the menu, and you may need to scroll down to get to them. Selecting one will add it to the post!
  • If saved as a draft: Open the conversation in the "Drafts" page from the left-side menu. After the options for publishing and adding files, all applicable tags will be listed. Selecting one will add it to the post!

If you have older posts you would like to tag, you can! The steps are exactly the same as the "If posted" instructions.
